zWorks Monthly Meetup - What Is Accessibility and Why Is It Important?

The zWorks Monthly Meetup is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and community leaders to come together, network, and learn something new - all free of charge.

The agenda for our May 2026 meetup is as follows:

  • 6:00 pm - Networking Hour. Over drinks and snacks, this is the time to meet new people and hear about the exciting things they are working on.

  • 7:00 pm - Entrepreneur Interview. An exciting founder will be interviewed to give the crowd a detailed understanding of how their business works.

  • 7:30 pm - What Is Accessibility and Why Is It Important? Jared Wade will educate the crowd on accessibility, including new laws that go into effect on April 24, 2026 requiring state and local governments (serving 50,000+ people) and public colleges to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards for websites, mobile apps, and digital content under Title II of the American Disabilities Act.
