This role requires a balance of operational management, stakeholder relations, and program development to ensure zWORKS remains a vibrant and sustainable resource for local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of zWORKS, ensuring an efficient and welcoming environment for members.

  • Manage staff, contractors, and volunteers to support zWORKS’ mission and initiatives.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive growth, enhance membership, and maximize impact.

  • Establish and track key performance metrics to measure success and sustainability.

Marketing & Communications

  • Plan and execute marketing and branding strategies to promote zWORKS and increase engagement.

  • Develop and oversee two monthly newsletters to keep members and the community informed.

  • Manage digital and social media outreach to boost awareness and attract new members.

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson, representing zWORKS at local events and in media opportunities.

Fundraising & Financial Management

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including sponsorships, grants, and donor campaigns.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.

  • Work with the Board of Directors to develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability.

  • Oversee membership pricing strategies and revenue-generating initiatives.

Entrepreneurial Training & Program Development

  • Design and support programs that provide education, mentorship, and networking for entrepreneurs.

  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, universities, and organizations to offer resources and support for startups.

  • Organize and lead workshops, speaker series, and networking events tailored to the needs of zWORKS members.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Cultivate relationships with local government, economic development agencies, and corporate sponsors to enhance the startup ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with industry leaders and investors to create opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the local entrepreneurial community.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong marketing, communications, and public relations skills, with experience in social media and digital outreach.

  • Proven track record in fundraising, sponsorship development, and donor relations.

  • Experience in program development and community engagement.

  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and financial planning.

  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to lead and inspire a collaborative, innovative culture.
